I'm Gabe, founder and sound designer at LiminalFX.

LiminalFX is a sound design and post-production studio built around one idea: that the detail work in a track, the transitions, the textures, the spatial choices, the moments between the main events, is often where a song either connects or doesn't. That's the work I focus on.

My process is collaborative and song-first. I spend time with the material before I touch it, figure out what it's doing, and build around what's already there. I'm not trying to impose a signature sound. I'm trying to serve the one the artist is already developing.

I work with artists at different stages. Sometimes a track is nearly mixed and needs a final layer of design and polish. Sometimes an artist is earlier in the process and wants a sound designer involved while the song is still taking shape. Both are welcome.

Long-term, LiminalFX is going to grow into a small network of producers, engineers, and sound designers who work with the same care for detail. For now, it's a one-person studio taking on a focused number of projects.
